Graphic Services is part of the support structure for meeting the District Mission as set out in the Strategic Plan. Specifically, the department assists in providing printed material for meeting Strategy 1 - Educational Master Plan, Strategy 2 - Respectful, Responsible, Ethical Behavior and Strategy 3 - Partnership with Families/Community.
Additionally, the department is positioned to provide the district
with the most affordable printing services availbable. Charging only for the variable
costs (maintenance and supplies) associated with the printing of custom, instructional
and informational materials, Graphic Services is the best option for controlling
these types of costs throughout the district.
As a "rule of thumb," a site or department
should consider utilizing Graphic Services when they require more than 30 copies
of any document or any job consisting of a few hundred total copies. The convenience
of utilizing site copiers is a factor, but it is easy to overlook the true costs
associated with running the smaller copiers and duplicators.
