Desert Sands Special Education Department
Our mission is to provide specialized services and supports to students with disabilities in environments where they can thrive academically. Desert Sands Unified School District is dedicated to enhancing inclusive practices throughout the district to better serve all students receiving special education services.
Our team collaborates with school site teams, families, and the community to ensure students have access to the same educational programs as their peers without disabilities. We offer a wide range of program options and specialized services tailored to the unique needs of students aged 3 to 22.
Parent involvement is highly encouraged in their child's education and the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. By working together, we aim to bridge the gap between home and school, providing endless opportunities for every student.
