Positive Prevention Plus provides a comprehensive HIV/STD prevention and sexual health education curriculum adapted for special education students in grades 7-12, and for developmentally delayed adults in community-based settings.
Our Special Ed staff is trained in the curriculum and have been provided the tools necessary to modify the activities and discussions embedded in the program dependent on individual student need which will be determined by the IEP team and include parent input. For students receiving services in our Moderate to Severe programs the level of participation in the curriculum will also be determined by the IEP team, including parent input.
