On Friday, February 27, the DSUSD Staff Wellness Committee proudly hosted its 3rd Annual Staff Talent Show at Carrillo Ranch Elementary School. Principal Jason Fosselman emceed the evening, which was filled with encouragement, contagious enthusiasm, and, of course, a delightful collection of classic dad jokes that had everyone laughing their way into the weekend.

DSUSD staff members showcased an incredible range of talent from powerful vocals and impressive juggling to an inspiring TED Talk that sparked thoughtful reflection. The performances were a true reminder that wellness flourishes when we create space for joy, creativity, and connection.

• FRANK CEJA for his engaging TED Talk, “Why Technology Should Be a Part of K–12 Common Core Classes.”
• KIANA FAGAN for her soulful rendition of “You Know I’m No Good” by Amy Winehouse.

A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated members of our Staff Wellness Committee who supported the event and brought this special evening to life: Adriana Fernandez, Andrew Parra, Jan Diaz, Laura Fisher, Sue Ann Blach, Mellissa Ballard, Miriam Silva, Susan Kadel, and Parry Myers. Their commitment to fostering belonging and boosting staff morale truly makes a difference.

An additional shoutout to Nutrition Services Caterer Bertha Celedon for being present and preparing refreshments for the event - tasty popcorn and lemonade!

Everyone left with lifted spirits, fuller hearts, and a renewed sense of connection—proof that when we come together to celebrate one another, wellness naturally follows. Here’s to talent, teamwork, and the joy that keeps our school community shining!
