Our DSUSD librarians are voluntarily committing their time during the summer to support over 190 students who have enrolled in the program. Their efforts have already resulted in students logging over 5,000 minutes of reading and enrichment activities. Students earn points for their reading and activity minutes, which they can then redeem for prizes every Wednesday from 8:00 AM-10:00 AM and 2:00 PM-4:00 PM.

These librarians have independently secured sponsorships from various organizations across the valley, including donations from Costco (such as Squishmallows) and tickets for the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. These generous contributions provide wonderful incentives for the children's hard work and participation.

Their initiative and commitment to fostering a love of reading in our students are commendable.
