Desert Sands Unified School District has been recognized as the Riverside County Winner for the Highest FAFSA/CADAA Completion Rate in the 2025-2026 California Foster Youth FAFSA & CADAA Challenge. The award was presented by leaders from Riverside County Office of Education during a winning banner ceremony.

This prestigious honor from the John Burton Advocates for Youth (JBAY) recognizes our collective commitment to helping foster youth access higher education opportunities by completing the financial aid applications that open doors to college, career training, scholarships, and future success.

We are proud of the dedication shown by our students, counselors, educators, and support teams who worked together to ensure every student had the resources and guidance needed to plan for life after high school.
