Inspiring the Next Generation of Women Leaders
On Tuesday, March 24, DSUSD brought 150 inspiring young women together for the Inaugural Youth LeadHERship Conference.
Students from middle and high schools across the district engaged in a day centered on learning, connection, and inspiration. The conference joined students and influential women from across Riverside County, representing fields such as media, education, technology, authorship, law enforcement, and politics.
Before the sessions began, students were welcomed with a red carpet-style entrance, greeted by cheers and encouragement from DSUSD staff. The experience created a memorable and uplifting start to the day, reinforcing a clear message: you belong here, and your future is bright.
Throughout the event, students engaged with accomplished women who are leaders in their respective industries. Reflecting on the impact, Dr. Oron Jackson shared, “My sincere appreciation and gratitude go to the day’s presenters. The girls interacted with movers and shakers across numerous fields, including media, education, technology, authorship/writers, law enforcement, and politics. These women are forces in their respective fields, representing the top five percent of national wage earners (men or women). Their presence alone was the most meaningful lesson, showing these girls better than they could ever be told.”
The conference created an unforgettable experience, reminding students that they are already leaders and that their voices matter, an inspiring investment in the next generation of changemakers.
