The Annual Ophelia Luncheon is always a wonderful event, celebrating Ophelia Girls throughout the valley and their mentors!

11 secondary schools across DSUSD have the Ophelia Project on their campuses. This impactful program focuses on building self-worth and unlocking the potential of young teens through dedicated mentorship and scholarship opportunities.

34 DSUSD seniors were named scholarship recipients, with every student who applied receiving a minimum award of $1,000. These honorees included 19 students from Indio High, 7 from Palm Desert High, 5 from Shadow Hills High, and 3 from La Quinta High.

A special congratulations goes to Alyssa Guenther (IHS), who was awarded a four-year, full-ride scholarship to the school of her choice - a value between $200,000 and $250,000!
