California Music Educators Association announced on August 24 the selected ensembles to perform at Sonoma State University’s Green Music Center on April 30, 2027. CMEA shared, “A huge thank you to the many outstanding ensembles who applied this year. We appreciate your dedication to music education and your commitment to providing meaningful musical experiences for your students.”

The Shadow Hills High School Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Willard Lacro, has earned a coveted spot to perform at the CMEA State Band and Orchestra Festival at Sonoma State in April!

Out of numerous ensemble auditions submitted from across the state each year, Shadow Hills High School is one of only thirteen high schools selected for this honor. Congratulations to Willard Lacro and these talented student musicians on a massive accomplishment!
