Staff Wellness Committee Hosts Friday Night Bowling Event
On Friday, April 4, the Staff Wellness Committee kicked off one of our most anticipated events of the school year—Friday Night Bowling at Fantasy Springs. A total of 102 DSUSD staff members and some family members came together to fill 17 lanes for a night filled with friendly competition, laughs, and plenty of team spirit.
Teams went all out with matching apparel and witty team names, including the Nursing Department's "Spare Me the Aches", the librarians’ "Quiet Strikers", and Summit High School’s "Empire Strikes Back" in Star Wars gear. Other creative team names included Paige Pin Heads, Transportation Locos, The Band, Carter Dream Team, Boomers Plus One, The Pin Up Girls, and Fast Lane.
The night was full of highlights, including the Pin Pals from La Quinta High School, who took home the “High Roller” trophy for the highest score. The Alley Avengers from Roosevelt Elementary School were awarded “Best Costume”, while CSEA was recognized for having the “Most Participants”, filling two lanes in their light blue "In Unity" t-shirts.
The Staff Wellness Committee is already looking forward to next year’s event—because when it comes to wellness, we know how to “strike” the right balance!
