Hosted by the Office of the Superintendent, this year’s State of the District event brought together educators, community partners, and local leaders for an inspiring look at how DSUSD is preparing students for success in college, careers, and life.
Superintendent Dr. Kelly May-Vollmar, joined by members of the Board of Education, opened the morning with a heartfelt welcome, followed by a video presentation highlighting a 93% graduation rate, 25 career pathways, and a 64% college enrollment rate. The presentation also noted a 96% teacher retention rate and the district’s commitment to student well-being, with more than 24,000 meals served daily.

Following the presentation, attendees explored a showcase room, featuring displays from each high school campus. Student leaders and principals were on hand to share the programs and initiatives taking place at their schools.
Chief Innovation and Information Officer Tiffany Norton gave a forward-looking presentation on how DSUSD is leading the way in integrating artificial intelligence into the educational experience, ensuring students are equipped with the tools they need for the future.
