Summer Reading Program Update:

DSUSD Readers Logged 37,185 Minutes This Summer!

What an incredible finish to the Summer Reading Program! A huge congratulations to all of our top readers! With 14 elementary schools participating and a grand total of 𝟯𝟳❟𝟭𝟴𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 read, we all celebrate this accomplishment!

August Update:

DSUSD students turned the page on summer in the best way possible, by reading! Participants in this year’s Summer Reading Program collectively logged an impressive 24,000 minutes by early August, showing their love for stories, learning, and adventure.

Readers were rewarded for their efforts during two prize redemption days held earlier this month. On August 13, families visited the Kay King Media Center at the Main District Office, and on August 15, the program wrapped up with a grand finale in the DEC North Lobby.

DSUSD Library Specialists expressed their gratitude:
“A huge thank you to all the amazing students and families who participated in our Summer Reading Program! Your enthusiasm, creativity, and love for books made this summer truly special. We also want to extend our gratitude to everyone who supported us along the way. Your encouragement and dedication helped make this program a success. Together, we’ve kept the joy of reading alive all summer long!”
