At Desert Sands Unified School District, the safety and well-being of our students and staff is always our top priority.

To help keep families informed, we’re sharing a new District Security video that explains how our schools prepare for emergencies using four STANDARD RESPONSE PROTOCOLS:
Lockdown, Lockout, Evacuate, and Shelter in Place.

The district conducts regular drills throughout the year in accordance with California Education Codes (32001 and 35297). We also work closely with local first responders to ensure alignment and preparedness.
