Form/Document Drop Off - If you have forms or timesheets to submit please come to the DEC main office located on Dune Palms and put them in the gray mailbox located to the left of the main double doors by the flagpoles.

W-4 Form (used for changing Federal Withholdings)
The IRS revamped the form for calendar year 2020 due to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Since the way that we are taxed has changed so has the form. They no longer base our taxable earnings on # of deductions but rather dollar amounts. Please see your tax consultant if you need help filling out the form or you can visit the IRS website. There is a link below to the IRS calculator if you'd like to use it and also some information on the new W-4 Form.

Verification of employment
Please fax any verifications of employment to (760) 771-8540. Please allow up to 1 week for processing. After faxing verification, you can call/email the appropriate payroll specialist according to the last name of the employee if you need to confirm information. New participants can enroll, select their plan and contribution amounts and email questions directly.
Existing participants can make updates to their contribution amounts, update beneficiaries and monitor their retirement saving progress online.

FISCAL SERVICES GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Fiscal Services Division of the Desert Sands Unified School District provides services to schools, departments and the district employees in the various areas of accounting. Fiscal Services is organized into six functional units:

Student Attendance
Fiscal Services is also responsible for the coordination and training of school sites and department staff on the use of the county financial system (Galaxy). The fiscal unit is responsible for all general accounting duties including student attendance reporting, categorical financial reports, budget development, internal control procedures and audit reporting.
The District currently maintains 12 funds with a total operating budget of $325 million. Fiscal Services provides support to all school sites and departments, providing accurate and timely financial data to assist managers and program coordinators with the task of budget monitoring.
