IB Diploma Seniors were honored for publishing their Extended Essays through the La Quinta High School Media Center. Over the course of their junior and senior year these students conduct research essays with the help of a supervisor from the school’s staff.
In order for the students to receive an International Baccalaureate Diploma they must take 6 IB courses one in each area of discipline and complete three main core requirements. One of them being the 4000 word research paper.
A few essays stood out to program coordinator Elizabeth VanDorn. Kylie Frescas' paper was about self compassion in correlation to increasing an individual’s wellbeing. Other student’s topics ranged from history, film, economics, and technology.
Congratulations to the students on their outstanding accomplishments!
Thank you to Elizabeth VanDorn for the photo.
