Choosing Healthcare
Choosing a medical plan is a very personal decision. The needs of each family may be different and unique. If you need help in choosing the medical plan that best meets yours and your family’s needs, the My Plan Choices 25-26 and My Plan Choices 26-27 resource tool is available. This resource is easy to use, free, requires no commitment, and provides confidential result.
Open Enrollment (COMING SOON)
Open Enrollment for Medical, Dental, Vision and Voluntary products will be 8/3/2026 through 8/26/2026. If you would like to join us for a benefits session, please visit the link here. You may register to attend a brief presentation regarding benefits. The Health Benefits team will be available to answer questions and assist you with the open enrollment process, although these sessions are not one-on-one appointments. Open enrollment for American Fidelity/Texas Life products will be 8/3/2026 through 9/11/2026. If you are currently enrolled in health and voluntary plans and are looking to review your current enrollment, please visit the bswift benefits supersite. bswift is the benefits portal where you will be able to access your current enrollment information, insurance carrier information, member services information, find a service provider, various forms, and plan documents. Click on the “bswift, Health Benefits Platform Direction” section below for login instructions.
Qualifying Life Events for Health Insurance
Are you getting married? Expecting a baby? Getting a divorce? You have 30 days from the date of marriage, birth, or divorce to add or term dependent(s). You will need to provide a copy of the marriage certificate, 1st page of your 1040, birth certificate, and/or final divorce papers, along with completion of our DSUSD online enrollment through bswift. If an event has occurred that may affect you or your dependent’s benefits and you are unsure if it meets the requirements for a qualifying event, please reach out to your benefits team for clarification within 30 days of the event.

CSEA MetLife Term Life Insurance
Attention New Classified Benefit Eligible Employees (4+ hour/day) - Remember to complete your MetLife Term Life Insurance paperwork! There is no cost to the employee. Click on the “Voluntary and District Paid Plans” section below for enrollment forms.
