DSUSD coordinated with The HOPE Collaborative to increase awareness and education to prevent child abuse in the Coachella Valley with a bag giveaway to DSUSD families. The bag included educational materials in Spanish and English and a flyer for families to enter a contest to win a prize basket with family oriented activities valued at $150.
The HOPE Collaborative gave away 990 bags at two DSUSD school sites. The HOPE Collaborative team reported that the families were appreciative and thankful to get the goodies that will contribute to the health and wellness of our students and their families.

The United Way of the Desert set up with the Hope Collaborative and added books to their bags. We gave out approximately 500 new books! 😊
Parents seemed really happy to get the bags. We even had one family come back to say they were so happy that there was books for the kids because their kids were super excited to receive them.
Thank you so much for your partnership. We love working with you and supporting your students!
