We continue to monitor state, regional, and county COVID-19 data. As we enter winter break, COVID-19 case and positivity rates remain escalated, and the regional stay-at-home order remains in effect in Riverside County. The California Blueprint for a Safer Economy indicates when COVID-19 case and positivity rates are at an appropriate level to transition to more in-person learning opportunities. Current rates and thresholds as follows:
Adjusted Case Rates per 100k
Positivity Rate w/ health equity
Riverside County
65.0
22.7%
Threshold for in-person instruction (Tier 2 RED)
7.0 or less
8.0% or less

As we return from winter break in January 2021, the county case and positivity data will play a crucial role in determining our next steps toward a hybrid learning model, which is currently scheduled for January 19, 2021.
Wishing you a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season.
