Many have their own way of honoring teachers for teacher appreciation week, however, the California Retired Teachers Association has their own special way of doing so. CalRTA distributes "longevity cups" for teachers who have worked 30 or more years. They are also kind enough to give out goody bags, granola bars, and more to all of the school sites in Desert Sands for Day of the Teacher.
