Each year the Riverside University Behavioral Systems Substance Abuse Program Prevention Services in partnership with the Riverside County Office of Education holds a student drug prevention poster contest. The winners have their artwork featured in the next year’s calendar.
This year, the 37th Annual Carol Addis Student Drug Prevention Poster Contest finds three Desert Sands students with winning posters.
Congratulations to:
Jibraeel Moosa a first grader at George Washington Charter Elementary School.
Crimson Fischer an eighth grader at Palm Desert Charter Middle School.
And Sophie Wissman a seventh grader at Palm Desert Charter Middle School.
Their posters will be in the 2021-2022 academic calendar.
