On Tuesday, August 16, at the DSUSD School Board meeting, a speech was made towards retiring board member Wendy Jonathan. School Board President, Ana Conover, shared a few words about Wendy Jonathan and her dedicated service to the district for over 21 years. 

This is what Ana had to say, "Wendy Jonathan has been a valued member of the DSUSD team for 21 and a half years. Starting as an elementary classroom teacher in 2000, she taught at Abraham Lincoln, Harry S. Truman, Benjamin Franklin, and Ronald Reagan Elementary Schools. Upon her retirement in 2012, Mrs. Jonathan ran for the DSUSD Board of Education and has served the district in that capacity for 10 and a half years. Additionally she has served as the Director of Riverside and Imperial Counties for the California School Boards Association. Mrs. Jonathan will be missed as a valued member of this board and of Desert Sands Unified School District. We are thankful for her service and her commitment to the staff, students, and community of DSUSD."

Everyone at DSUSD thanks Wendy for her service. She will be missed!
