Four Inland Empire high school students were among more than 300 teenagers nationwide who participated in this summer’s Bank of America Student Leaders program.
Teens chosen for the program work as paid interns for six weeks in the summer with nonprofit organizations, receiving a $5,000 stipend.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the program was converted to a virtual format, with students participating in online sessions on the role nonprofit organizations play in community health and the importance of public-private partnerships in driving social change, according to a news release.
