Several DSUSD schools have been recognized by the California PBIS Coalition. The awards reflect excellence in the implementation of the core features of PBIS. PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions.
Schools complete an application that reflect the school’s success in social emotional and academic interventions and supports. The schools have used data to make their decisions and solve problems and teach and encourage prosocial skills and behaviors.
Director of Professional Development & Teacher Support Elizabeth Hartman spoke more about the awards and the award winning schools.
