An unveiling ceremony was held on Nov. 21st at the Sunline Transit Agency honoring the finalist and winners of the 8th Annual Student Art Contest.
“SunLine Transit Agency is excited to announce the finalists and winners of the 8th Annual Student Art Contest. There were many amazing submissions this year and we want to congratulate the winners and finalists as well as thank our sponsors, IEHP, the City of La Quinta, the City of Palm Desert and FirstBank. Seven (7) of this year’s nine (9) finalists are from a DSUSD school” states Carmen Cubero.
1st place winners for the Elementary School Category were, Isabella Machado Gonzalez (5th grade) and Antonio Coloma II (3rd grade) from Benjamin Franklin Elementary School.
1st place winner for the Middle School Category was Gabrielle Lou Mercedeine Coloma (6th grade) from La Quinta Middle School.
1st place winner for the High School Category was Chanhwee Park (9th grade) from Palm Desert High School.
DSUSD also had 3 finalist in the competition! Maya Noelle U. Perez (3rd grade) from George Washington Charter and Farah Reagan (7th grade) from La Quinta Middle. Along with Lauren Cruz De Armas (10th grade) from La Quinta High School.
