Do the Right Thing recipients

Do the Right Thing supports youth involvement in the community with positive attitude and behavior. Students are selected each month based on their accomplishments and are recognized at the Palm Springs Police Department. The ceremony honors the students with appreciation and applause as well as prizes that are provided by the community. The ceremonies are to showcase the student’s support in enhancing self-esteem and community outreach as they are celebrated among community members, friends and family. 
Community is welcomed to join monthly ceremonies as schedules permit to honor our youth as they become members of the community. 

We congratulate the winners that were awarded at each month's ceremonies:

January  - Elijah Lua from Amistad High School and Bron Williams from Palm Desert Charter Middle School 

February - Adam Rodriguez from Madison Elementary School, Abrielle Kidd-Hearn from Palm Desert Charter Middle School, and Isaac Jesse Carillo from Shadow Hills High School 

March - Tiffany Hall from La Quinta Middle School 

April - Frida Arriaga from Shadow Hills High School and Ayden Chavez from Indio High School

May - Shanti Turner from La Quinta Middle School, Josiah Cecena-Martinez from Shadow Hills High School, and Victoria Valenzuela-Duran from Amistad High School

June - Gia and Frankie Garcia from Herbert Hoover Elementary School, Sean Work from Palm Desert High School, and Kimora Hall from Shadow Hills High School

July - Katherine De Leon Rivera from Indio High School and Xander Roman from La Quinta High School

August - Damian Gutierrez from La Quinta Middle School
