Congratulations to the Lady Knight Wrestler’s of Shadow Hills! The past three years Shadow Hills Girls Wrestling have gone undefeated in the valley and have an overall record of 68 wins and 8 losses. Under the leadership of Junior Kaylin Montano, who completed an impressive CIF state run while compiling 41 wins for the season, these Lady Knights have been working hard! In three years Kaylin has helped the wrestling program go from a small handful, to nearly 100. She also leads in the community service category with an accumulated 508 hours in three years… wow! Kaylin, while only a junior, will now compete to defend the National Team Championship with Team California and will travel to Fargo this summer before her senior year to compete in the Individual National Championships.
Kaylin is the 143 pounds DEL Individual Champion, the 143 pounds CIF-SS Individual Champion, and was voted by coaches for the CIF-SS MVP for upper Weights. She, also, captured third place at CIF-SS Masters and is now a California State Wrestling Finalist. She is the first-ever Lady Knight wrestler to become a California State Wrestling Finalist.
This year the Lady Knights became 3x DEL Champions. They continue to make their city, and their district proud!
